As indicated in Franklin Electric’s most recent Sustainability Report, we achieved 9% year-over-year reduction in Scope 1 emissions intensity and 3% reduction in overall Scope 2 emissions in 2025.

Improve Pump Efficiency with Variable Frequency Drives and Pump Packages
One of the leading ways to operate pumps more efficiently is by implementing a variable frequency drive (VFD). VFDs help improve energy efficiency by allowing motors to operate only at the speed required for current demand. Instead of continuously running pumps at maximum output, VFDs optimize performance in real time, which can cut power consumption by up to 50%, lower emissions and improve overall system operation.
However, a common misconception is cleaner solutions can compromise durability and performance. Pioneer Pump’s ElectricPAK challenges this assumption:
ElectricPAK VFD
Designed with a rugged welded steel frame to withstand the impacts of transportation, handling and harsh job site environments while keeping critical components secure, the ElectricPAK VFD is a standalone solution for large pumping systems. With an intuitive SmartPrime™ touchscreen and 50-350 hp capabilities, operators can easily keep motors running more efficiently and reduce energy use.
ElectricPAK Pump Packages
Delivering high-performance operation in harsh environments without relying on diesel power, ElectricPAK Pump Packages are complete packaged systems that include a high-efficiency pump, electric motor, integrated VFD and skid. Its electric-driven design eliminates exhaust emissions and reduces the risk of fuel or fluid leaks while its rigid motor stool maintains alignment and reduces service time.
Submersible ElectricPAK
Combining durability, simple operation and complete system support in an integrated offering, the Submersible ElectricPAK dewatering solution is designed for harsh applications, such as mining and heavy construction. The Submersible ElectricPAK is available as a standalone pump and skid unit with ElectricPAK VFD compatibility in 58 hp or 140 hp configurations, or as a starter control panel option for 8–58 hp models.
